MULLIGAN PARTNERS MP 2
Welcome page
We’ll get there together!
Mulligan Partners takes a unique approach to helping people and organizations thrive. Our philosophy, 40 years in the making, is that when core values and a true interest in our partner/clients come together, anything is possible.
Mulligan Partners believes in second efforts, second chances, and second opinions. Seasoned by life, we offer hard-won wisdom to our partner/clients.
Our work is multi-dimensional, including:
Coaching, focused on CEOs of not-for-profit organizations
Relationship-building, especially between CEOs and Boards
Teaching, applying perspective and practical experience
Writing, sharing the inspirational stories of a lifetime
Our Core Values:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
We have more in common than anything which separates us.
If you do not learn something from everyone you meet, you’re not paying attention. Twelve words cover it all: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

Mulligan - A free shot sometimes given a golfer in informal play when the previous shot was poorly played.

What we do
Mulligan Partners resists the tendency to apply a quick fix solution. Working to maximize your leadership, and to help you and your organization thrive, we believe that we must understand your unique talents, needs, and the environment in which you seek success. Once that understanding is reached, and trust is developed, we can help you get there. At the same time, we recognize the value of your time and are committed to efficiency and efficacy.
Coaching: Over half of a good coach’s time is spent listening. We take the time to know you and what you want. We clarify, we refocus, we build on what works. We bring passionate detachment to your project: We will be excited about you and for you, but maintain objectivity.
Relationship-building: In the complex world of a not-for-profit CEO, you serve many publics. You partner with your Board; you lead a staff; you serve clients. Each of these relationships is unique, and you must succeed differently in each. At the same time, your needs must be met and your life must be balanced.
Teaching: Whether over a semester or in a seminar, we teach from the learner’s perspective. Every learning experience should be mutual, with real engagement with the instructor and with co-learners. Expect to be involved in discussion and dialogue at every session. What you learn with us will stay with you.
Writing: We see writing as part of a continuum. We write about what we learn from working with our peers, with our coaching partners, with our learners. And what we write engages others, who become part of our practice in other ways, and provide additional opportunities to share insights and inspiration.

WHO WE ARE – PROBABLY THE LEAST IMPORTANT PART!
Mulligan Partners is not about us – it’s about you! You, our partners!
But in order for you to trust us, or at least be intrigued enough to learn more about us, we realize we must talk about ourselves. Please understand that this is a team under development; your needs will drive our organization. As our client/partners engage, we will bring others with specific needed skill sets into the Mulligan family. We believe that each partner/client deserves the attention of the Managing Partner, but we also are unwilling to compromise our service. Like-minded associates will be invited to join the family as needed, to assure that there is enough care available for each partner/client.
